Things are constantly changing in the accounting, tax and business world, and legislation is often updated. At Shipleys LLP, we invest heavily in learning and development to ensure our colleagues remain current with all the latest regulations and best practices.

For those in the early days of their career, we sponsor ACA, ACCA, CTA, AAT and ATT qualifications. We also support apprenticeships in various support functions, including IT, HR and facilities.

Shipleys LLP offers up to 40 hours of paid continued professional development time for those who have qualified in their specific technical area.

We run courses in-house and have access to external workshops, seminars, conferences, etc. for colleagues to attend. These can cover specific technical areas in accounting and tax, industry sector updates, or those focused on skill development such as management and business development training. They comprise both in-person and online training.

We also provide in house training on Microsoft office packages and a range of soft skills.

We offer the Mercia training portal for ‘just in time’ skill development. It has hundreds of online courses to build proficiency in various technical areas of accounting.

We also regularly publish and circulate bulletins to keep our colleagues ‘in the know’. These cover various topics and legislation to be mindful of when supporting our clients.
