“Shipleys has always provided high quality advice and represents excellent value.”
Nobody understands your personal affairs or business like you do. So we invest the time to get to know you, your objectives and priorities to ensure the advice you get from us is just what you need.
We’re a friendly medium-sized accountancy firm, and although we’re well known in a number of niche markets such as the creative industries and financial services, we look after people from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds.
Formed in 1936 from the merger of Shipley Blackburn & Ralph W Sutton & Co, we were originally known as Shipley, Blackburn Sutton & Co. Since then, we have grown organically and by merger. In 1993 our merger with Knill, Padgham & Grande led to Shipleys LLP being formed.
These strong foundations have enabled us to help thousands of clients over the years. They include businesses, not-for-profit organisations and charities, as well as individuals.
By combining our knowledge of you with our professional expertise, we’ll work with you to make whatever you need happen. This approach enables us to build close, personal, long-term relationships with clients – to become a trusted adviser you can always turn to for practical advice and solutions.
We don’t cloud the issues in technical detail – we get straight to the point with clear, jargon-free answers. You’ll know what you need to do and when. This is one of the reasons why over 2,000 clients across the UK and overseas turn to us for help.
We’ll also introduce you to other useful contacts when you need them. And our help is not limited to the UK – as an active member of AGN International, we can look after you across the globe.
AGN International is a global association of separate and independent accounting and advisory businesses, so you can always turn to us for advice and support wherever you are in the world.
As a medium-sized firm, every member of our team makes an important contribution. For colleagues, there are exciting options for progression into different areas of work. We have around 120 people working across our London and Godalming offices. For our latest Diversity report, click here.
Our solid financial performance allows us to remain independent and secure, investing in modern systems, processes and premises that safeguard our independent future.
In 2023 we were certified as a carbon neutral business by Carbon Neutral Britain. This is in recognition of the offsetting and other measures we have taken to make a positive difference to climate change. Find out more here.
